Color Therapy & Chakras
Every cell is light sensitive and also gives off its own light vibration. The cells of the skin act as light filters and allow light of all frequencies to pass to the tissues and cells through the body. Colour energy can be used to energize or balance the body's energy centres and can act as a catalyst for the body’s own healing processes. Colour Therapy aims to balance and enhance our body's energy centres/chakras by using the seven colours of the light spectrum, which can help to stimulate our body's own healing process.
The body’s chakra system and its colors in brief:
Violet: Crown chakra, pineal gland and third eye, sometimes is seen as White light.
Indigo: Forehead chakra, pituitary gland, lower brain and nervous system.
Blue: Throat chakra, communication, metabolism, lungs.
Green: Thymus gland, heart, circulatory system, immune and endocrine system.
Yellow: Solar plexus, pancreas, spleen, stomach & nervous system, emotional sensitivity, personal power issues.
Orange: Sexual Organs, creativity, attitudes in relationships, reproduction.
Red: Base chakra, spinal column, kidneys, adrenal gland.
My advice: Try a piece of clothing on that is primarily one of these colors, and see how it makes you feel. Notice any differences, whether negative or positive and adjust your clothes accordingly the following day. Or you can get dressed as usual and then take note of the color of shirt you decided on wearing ( for people who wear uniforms, etc of course- you can do that on your off time…).
Warmer Months bring lighter color clothes…help to make you feel airy, happy and hopeful. Enjoy your colors, play with them a bit and use them to understand yourself or others around you.
